چکیده
Riding the global waves of decriminalization, medical or recreational use cannabis (Cannabis sativa spp.) is now legal in more than 50 countries and U.S. states. As governments regulate this formerly illegal crop, there an urgent need to understand how may impact environment. Due challenges researching quasi-legal commodities, peer-reviewed studies documenting environmental impacts are limited, slowing development policies agricultural extension guidelines needed minimize adverse outcomes. Here we review research on relationships between outcomes, identify six documented pathways from cultivation (land-cover change, water use, pesticide energy air pollution) consumption (water pollution). On basis reviewed findings, suggest policy directions for these pathways. We further highlight formalize existing traditional gray literature knowledge, expand partnerships with cultivators, ease restrictions cannabis. Finally, discuss science might contribute risks inform regulations a growing industry.

What we know and what we still need to learn.
Research has changed the conceptualization of the causes and consequences of violence. Yet some questions remain unanswered. Infants and young children have largely been overlooked, and intraethnic and cultural group variations have not been addressed. There is still a need to address macro-level systematic discrimination in the health care system along with the intrapersonal physiological chan...

Invasive aspergillosis (IA) are a major complication in immunocompromized patients where can be serious and rapidly fatal. Early diagnosis and early appropriate antifungal treatment is important in reducing mortality and morbidity. But despite many efforts to develop detection methods, the diagnosis of IA still remains challenging and current conventional methods are limited for adequate diagno...

Anterior ischaemic optic neuropathy (AION) is the most frequent cause of unilateral papillary edema in patients over 45 years of age. Two main entities can be differentiated in AION: the non-arteritic form (NAION) which constitutes 96% of cases and has an estimated incidence in the USA of 2.3– 10.2 cases for every 100,000 inhabitants1; and the arteritic form (AAION), considered to be an additio...
متن کامل.VO2max: what do we know, and what do we still need to know?
Maximal oxygen uptake (.VO(2,max)) is a physiological characteristic bounded by the parametric limits of the Fick equation: (left ventricular (LV) end-diastolic volume--LV end-systolic volume) x heart rate x arterio-venous oxygen difference. 'Classical' views of .VO(2,max) emphasize its critical dependence on convective oxygen transport to working skeletal muscle, and recent data are dispositiv...
متن کاملWhat We Know and What We Need to Know
Drawing on recent literature, the paper argues that institutions and political economy factors hold the key to understanding why some countries have succeeded in developing their financial systems while others have not. The paper also reviews new evidence which suggests that institutional quality may influence the effectiveness of financial development in delivering economic growth. These new f...
